Team Shirt Ideas and Slogans: 40 Short Lines That Work
Pick a tone, cut the line until it fits on one row, and test it small.

The best team shirt ideas start with a line of three to five words that is readable from ten metres and that the team would say anyway. Pick a tone first, then cut the line until it fits on one row. Here are forty to start from.
Proud
"Built different, together." "Ours to lose." "Still here, still hungry." "We showed up." "All in, all season." "Small team, loud finish." "Earn it twice." "Together is the plan."

Funny
"Sponsored by snacks." "Participation is a strategy." "We came, we stretched, we left." "Professionals, mostly." "Warm-up is a state of mind." "Questionable form, great attitude." "Ask about our snack budget." "Winning is optional, snacks are not."
Calm
"One more lap." "Steady wins the week." "Slow is a pace." "Take the long way." "Quietly unstoppable." "Rest is part of it." "Easy does it." "Breathe, then go."
For a work team
"Out of office, in the game." "Shipped it." "Deadline pending, spirit unlimited." "Good people, good work." "Coffee first." "Hybrid, but here." "Friday energy, every day." "Same team, different time zones."
Name, number and inside joke
"[Group name], [year]." "[City] crew." "The [name] collective." "Est. [year]." "Team [nickname]." "[Name] and counting." "Since the first practice." "Number [N], always."
Make the line fit
Keep it to one row and two colours, with high contrast against the shirt colour. Put the line across the back of the shoulders and a small mark on the chest. Then test it small: if you cannot read it as a thumbnail on a phone, shorten it.
Ideas by sport
Dance team: "Counting in eights." "Practice makes performance." "Hair done, nerves optional." Volleyball: "Set it, spike it." "Front row, no excuses." "Rotations are a lifestyle." Swim team: "Chlorine is my cologne." "Lane four, always." "Wet hair, big goals." Cheer: "Loud by design." "Pyramids are a team sport." "Bows up." Softball: "Dirt is the uniform." "Dugout energy." "Swing like it is the last inning."
How to choose
Say the line out loud. If it is awkward to say, it will be awkward to wear. Show it to three people who are not on the team and ask what they think it means. If all three get it, keep it. Then sleep on it, because lines that seem clever on Tuesday often look flat on Friday.
What to leave out
Puns on someone else's brand or catchphrase. They age badly and can cause trouble. Long lines. Inside jokes that need a paragraph to explain. Anything you would not be comfortable seeing on a stranger in a photo.
Try the line before the whole team does
Describe your group and the line you like to Pablit's design assistant. It makes the design, shows it on a shirt, and lets you change it in plain words. Each item is made to order, one at a time, with no minimum order, so you can check one before you decide.
